Updated Scholarship Bulletin

Seasons Greetings!

Although the Christmas holiday is just ten days away and you’re probably thinking about giving or receiving gifts, you should still squeeze in time to apply for scholarships.   Once you begin college or vocational school, you will be amazed at how quickly you and your parent/guardian savings can dwindle down.  Every bit of money that you receive from grants and/or scholarships will help to avoid graduating college or vocational school with insurmountable debt.   I urge you to take the time to check the list below and apply for all the scholarships for which you qualify.  Writing the essays are worth the time and effort.

Below are a few articles about college students debt; they are well worth the read. Please note that I am not a Guidance Counselor and am in no way providing advice to you on your decision to attend or not to attend college and/or trade school.  The decision to continue your education does play an important role in your future career plans.  You should spend considerable time  with your parent/guardian and your guidance counselor discussing your future educational plans.  I am a firm believer that knowledge is power, so I’ve included the articles to help you along in planning your future.  There are countless articles and reports on the subject, so you should continue to arm yourself with facts so that you can make the best decision for you.
